RWE and Eni vie for €10bn Essent deal

RWE, the German utility, is battling head to head with Italy’s Eni to win control of Essent, the Dutch utility which is valued at around €10bn ($13.5bn).
Essent’s supervisory board is set to decide on a final bidder early next week, according to people close to the situation.
