Estonii i Finlandii.

4/17/2009 2:41:02 PM. This is like that of politicians stuff, nobody care what I say (wrote) days ago. Or what I wrote (say) weeks ago. Whatever I wrote or say become worth more than a day before. Growing in value more than I, could possibly realize. Whether or not others have a high opinion of me, I try to encompass the sum of reasons to try to think well of myself. This why I resolve today make a couple, at least two separate notes with two separate areas under discussion. Because I still believe, though, that people who blow their own trumpets (De não pararem de botar tromboni…) rarely make pleasant music. I don’t. I don’t play a tune – I make alarm. I sound the horn to communicate my (desirable?) presence and to stress that this needs to be acknowledged and (maybe?) respected. A balance of power has become worryingly lopsided and that is just as unhealthy for the persons who have the apparent advantage, as it is for the (humble?) underdog. (You don’t read my article “I bark back” yet?).

2). Fri, 17 Apr 2009 13:08:12 GMT Three Ukrainians, including an official, have been arrested over a deal involving the trade of nuclear material enough to make a 'dirty bomb.'  Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Ukraine's Security Service chief announced that an assistant to the Ternopil regional governing body along with two accomplices were detained while trying to sell about four kilograms of the radioactive material plutonium 239.  Nalyvaichenko said that the group intended to sell the highly-enriched nuclear material for USD 10 million to a secret agent when the security forces raided their enclave. Head of Ukraine's Security Service said that the radioactive substance was sufficient to make a 'dirty bomb' if it was passed on to a terrorist group, Russian media reported on Thursday.  A dirty bomb is an unconventional radiological weapon which disperses dangerous radioactive material through a conventional explosion. The container is believed to be a soviet-era legacy as considerable amount of nuclear materials were stolen during security breaches in nuclear facilities maintenance following the disintegration of the former Soviet Republic.

We are doing so as we speak,” he told the TT news agency early Friday morning. According to police, a total of 238 people were forced to leave the boat because of the fire. At least an additional 500 to 600 people reside in the boat, which is docked in Oskarshamn’s harbour. 4). Duke of Westminster’s group hit hard April 16 2009 19:37 The Duke of Westminster’s property company, Grosvenor, has made a pre-tax loss for the first time since the early 1990s, after a slump in the value of assets wiped £1bn off profits. The company, which is wholly owned by the Duke and boasts some of London’s most exclusive addresses among its assets, reported a pre-tax loss of £593.9m ($886.2m) in 2008, compared with a profit of £524m the previous year. The Duke of Westminster is the richest Briton, with an estimated wealth of close to £7bn. The UK’s only richer resident is Indian-born Lakshmi Mittal. Total returns on its property assets were minus 4.1 per cent in 2008, or minus 8.6 per cent at constant exchange rates, compared with 14.4 per cent in 2007. The company’s net asset value fell 7.4 per cent to £2.8bn. Grosvenor said its properties – both wholly-owned and in joint ventures – had lost about £536m of their value, with particularly sharp falls in the value of property in the UK and Asia, but more resilient performance of its European and US businesses. THE LAND AND THE FAMILY – Grosvenor ’s history began with the marriage of Mary Davies and Sir Thomas Grosvenor in 1677.  Mary had inherited 500 acres of land north of the Thames to the west of the City ofLondon.  Sir Thomas was the descendant of a family which traces its roots back to William the Conqueror. THE LONDON ESTATE - Mary Davies’ landholding remained largely untouched by the Grosvenors until the 1720s, when they developed the northern part - now known as Mayfair – around Grosvenor Square.  A few generations later, in the 1820s, their focus moved south - to what is now Belgravia - developingEaton Square, Chester Square and other famous addresses.  Later in the 19th century, the area of Pimlico was developed; this was sold in 1953.   The Grosvenor family progressively incorporated the London properties in the 20th century and the London Estate is now managed within Grosvenor Britain & Ireland.  INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION – Although Grosvenor is often identified with its core asset, the London Estate, much of our present-day investment and development portfolio is in other parts of Britain and Ireland. International expansion began in the 1950s, in Canada and later in the United States – hence our business in the Americas.  In the 1960s our businesses expanded into Australia and, in the 1990s, into Asia Pacific   Also in the 1990s, Grosvenor expanded into Continental Europe.  Our fund management business has a similar international reach. SHAREHOLDERS - 100% of the shares in Grosvenor are owned by theTrustees of various Grosvenor trusts established for the benefit of current and future members of the Grosvenor family, which is now headed by the 6th Duke of Westminster. GROSVENOR ESTATE – Grosvenor is one of several businesses in the Grosvenor Estate portfolio. To find out more visit the Grosvenor Estate website.
