Lavra Iate inglês naufraga em Matosinhos Um iate inglês naufragou hoje de madrugada ao largo da praia Pedras do Corgo, em Lavra, Matosinhos, disse à Lusa fonte da Capitania do Porto de Leixões, referindo que o único tripulante foi salvo Em declarações à Lusa, o comandante Luís Jimenez, adjunto do capitão do Porto de Leixões, disse que o tripulante é um cidadão inglês com 73 anos, que foi transportado ao Hospital Pedro Hispano, Matosinhos. «O homem estava bastante debilitado e em estado de hipotermia, não conseguindo explicar o que terá provocado o naufrágio do iate», disse. O comandante explicou que o pedido de socorro chegou cerca das 02h50, numa altura em que a embarcação se encontrava próximo da costa. De imediato, segundo Luís Jimenez, foram accionados os meios de salvamento, que incluíram duas motas de água e uma embarcação semi-rígida e também elementos da Polícia Marítima em terra. O iate Harbinger, de 15 metros, ficou completamente destruído e os destroços estão espalhados pela praia Pedras do Corgo, em Lavra. Lusa/SOL
