Which is my skill set? Is it computer/technology related?

9/7/2009 2:10:17 PM. I’m considering the fact that the Google gives ground in digital books dispute like a lovely happening. Maybe this is because of the direct relevance to me and my possible future. It is not a secret that the after long years I can’t start now saying “I hate this job” or “The paycheck is too much scorny”. This sort of attitude never worked and never will. Also, I am not this kind of person. Okay. Than what type of person I am? Which is my skill set? Is it computer/technology related? Mm-m well, can I say to myself, the “participation” in the Oracle’s $7.4 billion Sun Microsystems deal can put me into this area of human activity… Than goes another question. Is it artistic? If I was a painter, I possibly was showing to the visitor one of my large in size and in amount of details clear picture.

Is it sales? You can say so, more yet if you see by yourself how much can cost (or how much can buy) the $7.4 billion during the five hours in the hands of such big daddy like a Google Incorporated. Yesterday I wrote a lot about “White Fang” and “Headless horseman”. At night ‘english speaking World” hit me in my teeth and at the back of my head repeatedly. But look at the Natsuko Waki blog. Which was the scenario? My, or the brave soldier Schweik which principal occupation before the WW1 starts, was the selling dogs called Policy makers and CV brokers? If this dog’s sledge of Grey Beaver run after the London G20 Meeting to the (described in details by me), boss’s dog-house?

Is it a teaching? Positively. The 6 billion contract between France and Brazil to build nuclear submarines, helicopters and another military hardware give to the camels Barroso and Solana a good lesson.

Is it massages? Mm-m my friends, the pictures from the Bild talk by themselves.

Is it healing? Ask me after the 2 of October in Dublin.

Is it a community action work? Well, look at the Northern Star, watch the “Find the Nemo”, look at my place, at the Arctic Sea epopee and you find the huge reserves of oil for European Community in the port of Lisbon.

Google gives ground in digital books dispute. September 7 2009 09:32. Google is to make concessions to European publishers and authors in an effort to stem a rising tide of anger over its landmark digital books settlement in the US. The company has agreed to have two non-US representatives on the governing board of the registry that will administer the settlement, according to a letter sent to 16 European Union publishers’ representatives at the weekend, a copy of which has been seen by the Financial Times. Google aims to digitise millions of books to make them searchable through its search engine. According to the letter, it is also promising to consult European publishers before cataloguing some European works in its digital library. The concessions – designed to counter complaints from European publishers that they have not had enough say in the US settlement – do nothing to resolve accusations by Germany and others that the settlement violates copyright law in other countries. A spokesperson for Google on Monday said: ”The parties to the Settlement Agreement have sent a letter to several national publisher associations in Europe to clarify that books that are commercially available in Europe will be treated as commercially available under the Settlement. Such books can only be displayed to US users if expressly authorised by rights holders.” The European Commission is holding hearings on Monday on how it should respond to the deal. The 27-member bloc is trying to work out whether legislation is required to facilitate the digitisation of European culture. Google’s concessions, in a statement signed by representatives of authors and publishers with whom it is negotiating the class-action settlement, are designed to give more control to European rights-holders nervous about the exploitation of their work in the US. The undertaking means that two of the eight directors of the Books Rights Registry, a body funded by Google as part of the $125m class-action deal reached last October, will likely be Europeans or representatives of European publishers and authors. Opposition to the US settlement has been fierce in some parts of the EU, in part because web-users there would not have access to the books scanned under the US deal. In a brief to the New York court ruling on the settlement, Germany said last week that any deal would “irrevocably alter the landscape of international copyright law”. French publishers said that it was “vital that we oppose efforts to establish a dominant position or quasi-monopoly in cultural works”.

Missing channel pirate ship carried Russian arms for Iran. September 6, 2009. A CARGO ship that vanished in the Channel was carrying arms to Iran and was being tracked by Mossad, the Israeli security service, according to sources in both Russia and Israel. The Arctic Sea, officially carrying a cargo of timber worth £1.3m, disappeared en route from Finland to Algeria on July 24. It was recovered off west Africa on August 17 when eight alleged hijackers were arrested. The Kremlin has consistently denied that the vessel was carrying a secret cargo. It claims the ship was hijacked by criminals who demanded a £1m ransom. The official version was challenged by sources in Tel Aviv and Moscow who claimed the ship had been loaded with S-300 missiles, Russia’s most advanced anti-aircraft weapon, while undergoing repairs in the Russian port of Kaliningrad. Mossad, which closely monitors arms supplies to Iran, is said to have tipped off the Russian government that the shipment had been sold by former military officers linked to the underworld. The Kremlin then ordered a naval rescue mission which involved destroyers and submarines. Any evidence that the Kremlin had let advanced weaponry fall into the hands of criminals or be sold to Iran would be highly embarrassing, so military officials believe a “cover story” was concocted. “The official version is ridiculous and was given to allow the Kremlin to save face,” said a Russian military source. “I’ve spoken to people close to the investigation and they’ve pretty much confirmed Mossad’s involvement. It’s laughable to believe all this fuss was over a load of timber. I’m not alone in believing that it was carrying weapons to Iran.” The alleged hijackers, four Estonians, two Russians and two Latvians, will go on trial in Moscow. According to the Kremlin’s account, they boarded the Arctic Sea in the Baltic by claiming their inflatable craft was in trouble and then took over the ship at gunpoint. Sources in Moscow suggested Mossad may have played a part in the alleged hijacking by setting up a criminal gang, who were unlikely to have known anything about a secret cargo. “The best way for the Israelis to block the cargo from reaching Iran would have been to create a lot of noise around the ship,” said a former army officer. “Once the news of the hijack broke, the game was up for the arms dealers. The Russians had to act. That’s why I don’t rule out Mossad being behind the hijacking. It stopped the shipment and gave the Kremlin a way out so that it can now claim it mounted a brilliant rescue mission.” According to Israeli military sources, Israel received intelligence that weapons bound for Iran were being loaded in Kaliningrad, a port notorious for gun runners. “A decision was then taken to inform the Kremlin,” said the source. Had the S-300 missiles been delivered, Iran would have significantly strengthened its air defences. An Israeli air force source said that in the event of an attack on Iranian nuclear installations, such missiles could increase Israeli casualties by 50%. Since the Arctic Sea was retaken, Russia has imposed a security blackout. The hijackers, the crew and two investigative teams were flown back to Moscow in three Il-76 air freight planes. For more than a week after being freed the crew were not allowed to talk to their families. The captain and three crew are still on board the ship, which has resumed its voyage to Algeria, but they have not been able to call home. Last week Mikhail Voitenko, an outspoken piracy expert who disputed the Kremlin’s original version of events, fled Russia, claiming he had received threats from an official angered by his statements. Admiral Tarmo Kouts, former commander of Estonia’s armed forces and the European Union’s rapporteur on piracy, has infuriated Moscow by saying the only plausible explanation of the mystery is that the ship was transporting weapons. A spokesman for the Finnish owners denied that missiles could have been secretly loaded onto the ship. Sources who suspect Mossad’s involvement point to a visit to Moscow by Shimon Peres, the Israeli president, the day after the Arctic Sea was rescued. Peres held four hours of private talks with Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president. Although the Israeli foreign ministry would not be drawn on the Arctic Sea, it confirmed that the two leaders had discussed the sale of Russian weapons to countries hostile to Israel. According to Israeli officials, Peres received verbal guarantees from the Russians that they would not sell advanced weapons systems to Iran or Syria. “Clearly the Israelis played a role in the whole Arctic Sea saga,” said a Russian military source. “Peres used the incident as a bargaining chip over the issue of arms sales to Arab states, while Israel allowed the Kremlin a way out with its claims to have successfully foiled a piracy incident.”

Friday, September 04, 2009 More articles in Аварийность и ЧП. Saturday, September 05, 2009 More articles in Аварийность и ЧП.

Saturday, September 05, 2009 More articles in Аварийность и ЧП. Saturday, September 05, 2009 More articles in Аварийность и ЧП.

Reuters Blogs. MacroScope. 12:23 September 6th, 2009. London-Basel express Posted by: Natsuko Waki. Tags: Uncategorized, Basel, BIS, central banks, exit strategy, g20, recovery. Having wrapped up the two-day get-together in London, G20 central bankers moved down to the Swiss city of Basel (I counted central bank governors and officials fromat least 9 countries onboard the same flight) to discuss more about the global economy for a two-day meeting. The focus here again is the global economic recovery, which seems to be gathering momentum, and the timing of exit policy — which is essential in the future to avoid inflationary pressure. The mood is decidedly more positive this time than the last time they met in Basel, where they warned that unprecedented attempts to stimulate economic may fail to bring a sustainable recovery. G10 chairman and ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet will give a briefing on Monday. Trichet has recently been sounding as if he expects a double-dip recession, as our European affairs columnist Paul Taylor suggests here.

Lula e Sarkozy acordam parceria military.

The American embassy in Kabul has become embroiled in a sex scandal after it was revealed that guards took part in perverse naked games. 07.09.2009 - 10:58 UHR. FOTOGALERIEVergrößern. US EMBASSY IN KABUL. PERVERSE NAKED SEX GAMES SCANDAL. Staff held parties with prostitutes, heavy drinking and kinky naked games in Camp Sullivan, the workers’ accommodation. “One supervisor boasted about the fact that he had hired a prostitute for his birthday,” Danielle Brian from theProject on Government Oversight (POGO) said. And you can see what was going on in the pictures… Naked men grabbing each other by the testicles in perverse sex games, drinking vodka from a butt crack and eating off a naked back – many of those involved were obviously forced to do it by their superiors! The scandal in Afghanistan came to light because of the concerns by staff of the private security firm, which was hired to protect the embassy. Some of the victims of the bizarre games reported the abuse to POGO. One guard said: “It was degrading and embarrassing.” Whoever didn’t want to take part in the orgy was gambling with their chances of promotion – or even the risk of losing their job! The organisation has denounced the sordid activities in a letter to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who reacted swiftly and promised “zero tolerance” would be shown if the accusations were proved to be true. Philip Crowley, a State Department spokesman, said: “The behaviour shown in these pictures is unacceptable.” Those involved in it have reportedly been removed from their posts. “It potentially endangers the important work of the US embassy in Kabul. We find it all abhorrent,” he added. Secretary of Defence Robert Gates said: “If those allegations are true, those activities are not just offensive to Afghans and Muslims. “They’re offensive to us and inexcusable.” Meanwhile, an alcohol ban has been issued in Camp Sullivan and staff have been assigned to oversee the private security personnel.
