A report in The Sun claims the Duchess owed £17,672 to Hertfordshire business and accountancy firm MJ Brooks before it took her to London County Court. It also reported that a firm of solicitors took her to Northampton County Court over a £1,750 bill while photographic firm Shades, of Woking, Surrey, went to Guildford County Court to claim £2,117 owed for prints.None of the firms named in the report would make any comment about the cases or confirm any of the details. A spokesman for the Duchess said the cases were “a private matter”.

Bruselas podría frenar la unión de Sun Microsystems y Oracle. Publicado el 03-09-09 , por M. P. En el calendario de los ejecutivos de Oracle, el 3 de septiembre está marcado en rojo. Hoy, la Comisión Europea debe pronunciarse sobre la operación de compra de Sun Microsystems. Tras la aprobación la semana pasada por parte de las autoridades antimonopolio de EEUU, éste es el último paso para poder hacer efectiva la adquisición en un plazo breve de tiempo. Sin embargo, según informa Reuters, Bruselas está estudiando abrir una investigación más profunda para dilucidar si la operación puede afectar a la libre competencia en Europa. La Comisión Antimonopolio debe decidir mañana si da su visto bueno. El gigante del software estadounidense Oracle anunció el pasado abril su intención de comprar la multinacional de tecnología Sun Microsystems por 7.400 millones de dólares (5.200 millones de euros). Según las fuentes de Reuters, Bruselas tiene dudas acerca de los efectos que tendría para la libre competencia que Oracle, líder en el mercado de bases de datos, sume a su oferta MySQL de Sun, otra base de datos de código abierto muy extendida entre las compañías con fuerte presencia en Internet. La mayor parte de los ingresos de Oracle procede de la venta de bases de datos, aunque también tiene una fuerte presencia en lo que se conoce como middleware (software de gestión empresarial), y ha usado el talonario para crecer en el mercado del software de gestión empresarial tras las compras de compañías como PeopleSoft, Siebel y Bea Systems. Известно, что один из них - управляющий партнер холдинга Burevestnik Group, генеральный директор ОАО "Астон Мартин Москва" Андрей Ломакин. Бизнесмен был задержан сегодня днем перед пресс-конференцией в информационном агентстве "РИА "Новости" прямо в центре столицы. В его задержании участвовали до 20 оперативников. Они разбили стекло автомобиля предпринимателя и произвели обыск в салоне. А.Ломакин направлялся на пресс-конференцию "Яхтенный рынок в России. Итоги 2009 года", запланированную на 12:00 мск. Как рассказали в Следственном комитете, уголовное дело по факту контрабанды яхт было возбуждено по результатам оперативно-розыскной деятельности правоохранительной службы Федеральной таможенной службы России и отдела по борьбе с экономическими преступлениями Московского УВД на водном и воздушном транспорте. По версии следствия, в состав организованной преступной группы входили учредители, руководители и сотрудники яхт-клуба "Буревестник" и ООО "AГ Марин", а также должностное лицо центрального аппарата ФТС России. С 2007г. по 2009г. данная группа осуществляла контрабандные поставки на территорию РФ дорогостоящих моторных яхт производства Великобритании и Италии. В рамках уголовного дела в настоящее время проводятся 15 обысков в офисах и по месту жительства подозреваемых и их допрос. В свою очередь пресс-секретарь Burevestnik Group Анастасия Зайцева сообщила РБК, что сегодняшнее задержание управляющего партнера компании Андрея Ломакина - это "недоразумение, которое скоро разрешится". По ее словам, Burevestnik Group соблюдает российское законодательство. "Среди наших сотрудников преступников нет", - отметила она.
