2. Monday, October 27 12:33 pm  A bizarre accident left Chinese motorists in a flap after a lorry spilled a massive cargo of live fish. The delivery truck overturned in heavy rain in Zhejiang province, leaving 19 tonnes of still-jumping fish strewn across a main road, closing it for two hours. The authorities had to sweep the fish into a gutter by the side of the road and scatter sand across the surface to soak up the slippery slime and prevent more accidents. Witnesses said local people took advantage of the spill to scoop up fish and carry them off for a free dinner. Chinese diners prefer restaurants where fish are kept alive in tanks until customers choose the one they want.
